About 701 News

701 News collects the latest Bismarck, Mandan and Burleigh County stories in one place. We don't rewrite other people's reporting. Every item shows who published it and links to the original.

Editor: Adam Johnson.

Owned by: Fifth and Seven.

How items are chosen: we pull headlines and short summaries from public feeds of local creators, outlets, city and county pages, and weather services, then link out. Tips are verified before anything is posted. Local creators (individual reporters and personalities) lead the homepage for the last 7 days; outlets and official updates show the last 48 hours. Older items move to the Archive.

Creators: if you publish local stories and want to be included, or want something removed, see the corrections page.
